At Home on the Range, we believe that top-tier instruction, safety, and community go hand-in-hand. But we didn't just build this training center—we lived the transformation that inspired it.

When we got married, firearms weren't exactly Tara's comfort zone. In fact, she felt the exact hesitation that many beginners experience around handguns. Looking for a way to learn together, we signed up for a USPSA competition, but we quickly noticed something missing: families. The environment felt geared toward the extreme hobbyist, rather than the everyday household looking to grow together.

JD stepped in to change that dynamic at home. With patience, clear safety fundamentals, and zero judgment, he coached Tara from those initial nerves all the way to earning her CCW. Today, she carries confidently every single day.

That experience became the heartbeat of Home on the Range. We realized that firearms training shouldn't be intimidating—it should be empowering for the entire household. We are proud to offer a community-focused space where hospitality meets professional discipline, ensuring every individual feels welcome:
